Dr. Mario Piombino†

Dr. Mario Piombino, a physician specialised in vascular surgery and in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1972 at the University of Naples Federico II and, in 1978, specialised in vascular surgery.

From that moment on he followed a path shaped by his strong interest and passion for plastic surgery: in 1990 he specialised in Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at the University of Naples Federico II. He completed his training at the Planas Plastic Surgery Clinic in Barcelona and at the Department of Plastic Surgery of the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

His professional career moved in the same direction, from surgical assistant in the emergency department of the Ospedale Civile in Caserta in 1974 through to the late 1990s, during which he continued his career as a plastic surgeon at the same hospital.

From 1997 he practised privately and, alongside this, founded Ripar Cosmetici together with his wife Rita Parente: a project born from the wish to create products that could bring real benefit, covering and concealing all those skin imperfections, such as vitiligo, angiomas, bruising and more, that neither surgery nor dermatology could resolve.

Products backed by his long hospital experience in this field.

The underlying idea was to develop cosmetics that could also be genuinely useful in everyday practice, such as camouflage, ideal for concealing the after-effects of many plastic surgery procedures, with a solid scientific background supporting Rita Parente's technical expertise, to create high quality products.

A project that was brought to completion and that continues today with great success.
